Attention Cracker Barrel Servers Share This

Me with a hundred year old guest eating our chicken livers.

Attention Cracker Barrel servers, I guess most of you have noticed that if you make any tips at all and claim them that there is not enough money from your paycheck to pay for your benefits. For some reason, taxes are paid first, leaving no funds for benefits. For me it means that in order to have health insurance I have to pay out of pocket for this benefit, Additionally, there is no money left for my 401k plan except for vacation checks. For years I enjoyed having health insurance with Cracker Barrel and did not have to use my tip money to pay for it but this year it all changed, now I have no insurance but dental and life.

I do not like this policy and I do not know for sure why it changed or who is behind it, however, a person from the benefit call center said that it was a Cracker Barrel policy change, whether that is true or not I do not know. I sent Cracker Barrel an email about it but if they ever responded I did not see it. I would like to see it go back to the old way so that my small check pays for insurance and maybe 401k contributions.

If you are a Cracker Barrel server and feel the same way share this post and email Cracker Barrel, send them a link to this post, I would love to hear from them. You might want to call them, who knows, if we flood them with calls and emails and they perceive this as bad publicity that might change their minds up in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Personally, I am tired of people in high places making decisions that may not affect them but that hit me where I live, whether it be the government or the Home Office of Cracker Barrel. Maybe they done what they had to do, maybe it is in my best interest, I really don't know.

I do know this, no matter what the Government does or Cracker Barrel does, God is in control and He will take care of me. And it really does not matter if I like the situation or not, my preferences are irrelevant, my hope is to be in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. By the way, even though I complain about this, all and all Cracker Barrel has been good to me and I thank God for my job.
